JUNIOR FOOTBALL AT KWFC
KWFC provides football opportunities for boys and girls from their first experience of the game through to competitive junior football and ultimately our senior teams.
With a focus on enjoyment, development and progression, we aim to provide an appropriate football environment for every player – whether they are playing for fun with their friends or aspiring to compete at the highest level available to them.
KWFC was proudly named Football West MiniRoos Club of the Year in 2022 and continues to provide one of the largest junior football programs in Perth’s northern suburbs.
OUR JUNIOR FOOTBALL PATHWAY
KWFC teams participate in Football West competitions across a range of age groups and playing levels.
CLUSTERS | AGES 5–7
Clusters provide a fun and welcoming introduction to football for our youngest boys and girls.
The focus is on having fun, learning basic football skills and developing a love of the game in a positive and supportive environment.
There are no trials or grading for our Cluster program.
MINIROOS | AGES 8–12
MiniRoos introduces players to structured small-sided football using modified pitches and rules appropriate to their age.
Players continue to develop their individual skills, teamwork and understanding of the game while enjoying football in a supportive team environment.
KWFC offers opportunities across different playing levels, allowing players to be placed in an environment appropriate to their development.
JUNIOR COMMUNITY LEAGUE | AGES 13–16
Junior Community League provides competitive community football for players across a range of abilities.
The focus remains on participation, development, teamwork and enjoyment, with KWFC able to offer multiple teams across many age groups.
JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE | AGES 13–16
Junior Development League (JDL) provides KWFC’s highest level of junior football and is designed for players seeking a more competitive development environment.
JDL provides a pathway for talented and committed junior players to continue developing their technical and tactical abilities, with the opportunity to progress towards Senior Men’s and Women’s football.
PLAYER DEVELOPMENT AT KWFC
Our aim is to provide every junior player with an environment appropriate to their ability, ambitions and stage of development.
KWFC provides both community and development pathways, allowing players to enjoy their football while providing opportunities for those seeking to progress to higher levels of the game.
Our Junior Boys program is supported by a dedicated UEFA-B Licensed Technical Director, providing guidance and support to players and coaches throughout the junior pathway.
Our focus is not simply on winning games at junior level. We want to develop technically capable players who enjoy their football, understand the game and are equipped to continue progressing through junior and ultimately senior football.
JOIN KWFC IN 2027
We welcome Expressions of Interest from new and returning junior players for the 2027 season.
JUNIOR BOYS
KWFC Junior Boys will use 360Player for Expressions of Interest, trials, grading and player offers for the 2027 season.
The process is simple:
Expression of Interest → Trials/Grading where applicable → Team Offer → Registration
Players in our youngest Cluster age groups do not participate in trials or grading.
Players from U8 upwards may participate in trials and grading to assist the Club in forming teams and placing players in the most appropriate environment for their development.

JUNIOR GIRLS
KWFC continues to provide dedicated football opportunities for girls across our junior age groups, with pathways from MiniRoos through to competitive junior football and our Senior Women’s program.
New and returning players interested in joining our Junior Girls program are encouraged to contact the Club for information regarding available teams and the 2027 registration process.
COACH WITH KWFC
Great junior football relies on great people, and KWFC welcomes interest from both new and returning junior coaches.
Our coaches are supported with resources, guidance and technical assistance to help them provide a positive and development-focused environment for our players.
You don’t need to have coached at KWFC previously to get involved. If you’re interested in contributing to junior football and being part of our Club, we’d love to hear from you.
Junior Boys coaching Expressions of Interest can be submitted through the 2027 Junior Boys EOI process.
KIDSPORT
KWFC is a participating club in the WA Government KidSport program.
KidSport may provide eligible families with financial assistance towards club registration fees.
Families wishing to use KidSport towards their KWFC fees should apply through the KidSport program and advise the Club during the registration process.
